PRIVACY

Privacy, kept deliberately small.

CS Worth is built to be playable without an account. This policy explains what the games store locally, what technical services may receive, and what changes before advertising is introduced.

1. Scope and contact

This policy applies to the CS Worth website, its browser games and the related informational pages linked from the footer. CS Worth is an independent project. For privacy questions, access or deletion requests, contact [email protected].

This page describes the current site and the safeguards that must be in place before optional advertising or measurement is enabled. It is general information, not legal advice; the rules that apply can depend on your location and the service configuration at the time you visit.

  • Email the privacy contact

2. What the games do not require

You can play the current games without creating a CS Worth account or providing the following to the game interface:

  • A Steam login, Steam password, Steam session or inventory connection.
  • A payment card, purchase, trade, wallet balance or real-world identity.
  • A public profile, friend list or social-media account.
  • A player name or other identity information beyond what you voluntarily type into a contact message.

3. Information stored in your browser

To keep a run usable on the same device, the games may write small values to browser local storage. These can include a best score, current guesses, a round index and daily-game state. The values are used by the client-side game and are not an account record.

Local storage is controlled by your browser and can be removed by clearing CS Worth site data or browser storage. Removing it can reset scores, streaks or an unfinished run. Private browsing modes, browser settings or extensions may block it and can change how the games behave.

  • Contact us about a privacy or storage issue

4. Friend Play and room requests

When Friend Play is connected and you create or join a room, the selected game and room code are sent to the configured room service so the room can be created or joined. The current interface does not need your Steam identity, inventory or payment details for this flow.

The room service may also receive ordinary request metadata such as an IP address, timestamp and user agent from the hosting or network layer. Room codes should be treated as shareable access tokens: do not post a private room code publicly, and do not put personal information into a room code or message field.

5. Contact messages

If you email [email protected], the email provider and project operator receive the address, subject, message, attachments and any other information you choose to include. We use it to reply, investigate a correction, handle a rights or privacy request, or address a security report.

Contact messages are retained only for as long as reasonably needed for the conversation, a correction record, abuse prevention or a legal request. Do not send passwords, API keys, payment details or other secrets. You can ask what information from your message is retained or request deletion, subject to any legal or security need to keep a limited record.

6. Hosting, security and technical logs

The hosting, CDN and security layers that deliver CS Worth may process standard request information such as IP address, browser and device characteristics, timestamps, requested URL, referrer and response status. These logs help deliver pages, detect abuse, troubleshoot failures and protect the service.

CS Worth does not use these logs to create a CS Worth player account or to identify a visitor by name. Infrastructure providers may have their own retention, security and international-transfer terms. Access is limited to what is reasonably needed to run and protect the site.

7. External content and third-party requests

Some visual or map content may be delivered from a third-party host rather than from the same server as the page. When your browser requests an external asset, that host can receive ordinary network information such as your IP address and user-agent string. Third-party hosts control their own policies and availability.

The site may also link to external services or references. A link does not mean CS Worth controls, endorses or has reviewed that service. Check the provider’s privacy policy before submitting information there.

8. Advertising and analytics

CS Worth does not currently load Google AdSense ads. Optional Google Analytics 4 measurement and the minimal first-party event counter are initialized only after the visitor chooses “Allow optional analytics” in the consent notice. If the visitor declines, these optional measurement calls are not made. The choice is stored locally in that browser until its site data is cleared.

The first-party browser measurement sends only the event name and limited game context such as game and mode. A small local-storage marker tells the site whether that browser has visited before; no name, Steam identity, account ID, full URL, answer, score, inventory or advertising profile is sent in that first-party payload. Google Analytics may receive pseudonymous identifiers, device and browser information, approximate location, referral information, page and interaction data, and technical request information according to Google’s service configuration and policies. The server keeps daily aggregate first-party counters for up to 180 days rather than an event-by-event visitor history. Normal hosting and network logs can still contain an IP address, timestamp, user agent, requested URL and response status as described above.

This measurement is used for product reliability, content and usage decisions, not to sell personal information. Google may process analytics data under its own terms and controls. Where applicable law requires consent for optional measurement, the consent notice is shown before optional analytics is initialized; clearing CS Worth site data lets you make the choice again.

Google and other advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses or similar technologies to deliver, measure and personalise ads, including based on visits to this or other sites, subject to their policies and the choices available in your region. Advertising will not be described as active until the relevant tags, disclosures, consent controls and publisher settings are actually configured.

9. Consent and your choices

Necessary browser storage and technical processing support the requested game or the security of the site. Optional advertising and measurement should be separated from those functions. Where applicable law requires consent, visitors should be able to make a clear choice before optional cookies are set, and later reopen that choice to withdraw or change consent.

You can clear local game data in your browser, block third-party cookies, use browser privacy controls, or contact us about a privacy request. Blocking optional technologies may change advertising or measurement—not the core ability to read the informational pages—and blocking local storage may reset a game run.

10. Sharing and retention

We do not sell personal information. Information may be processed by hosting, security, email, room, analytics or advertising providers only for the purposes described here and according to the configuration in use. We do not knowingly disclose contact information for unrelated marketing.

Retention depends on the type of information: browser game state and the first-party return marker remain until you or the browser removes them; aggregate analytics counters are retained for up to 180 days; infrastructure logs follow provider retention and security practices; contact messages remain only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose, protection of the service or a legal obligation.

11. Rights and requests

Depending on the law where you live, you may have rights to ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of personal information, or to object to certain processing. You may also have the right to withdraw consent for optional processing. Send a request to [email protected] with enough detail for us to understand it; we may ask for reasonable verification before disclosing or deleting information.

If your request concerns browser local storage, the fastest method is to clear CS Worth site data in your browser. We cannot recover a score or streak after you delete it.

12. Children and international visitors

CS Worth is a general-audience game site, not a service designed to collect children’s personal information. We do not knowingly ask children to create accounts or provide identity data. If a parent or guardian believes a child has sent personal information, please contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.

CS Worth may be accessed from countries other than the one in which its infrastructure or service providers operate. Those providers may process information across borders using the safeguards required by the applicable service and law.

13. Changes to this policy

The site may add games, room functionality, analytics or advertising over time. When a change materially affects personal information, we will update this page, its date and—where required—the notice or consent shown at the point of collection. The version published on this page is the one that applies to the current site configuration from its last-updated date.
