What each clue is built from.
CSWorth is an independent game, not an official Valve database, live market terminal or live match feed. This page identifies the dataset behind each game, the date we can verify, what is simplified, and how to report a result that looks wrong or stale.
LAST UPDATED · 03 SEPTEMBER 2026Editorial responsibility
Prepared and reviewed by the CSWorth editorial team. Each game uses a curated, versioned dataset prepared for a browser round. A page review date describes the last editorial check; it is not a guarantee that a roster, price or game image has not changed since the stored snapshot.
Correction contact: [email protected]. Use the report link on a game page or the contact page, and include the page, record, displayed value, suspected issue and a dated reference when available.
Skin price snapshots
Source/reference: “Skinport CS2 market item snapshot,” using the Skinport items endpoint recorded in the dataset: https://api.skinport.com/v1/items?app_id=730¤cy=USD. Snapshot captured: 27 AUGUST 2026. Page last reviewed: 03 SEPTEMBER 2026. Currency: USD.
The Higher or Lower game uses the stored suggested price for 50 prepared records, not a live quote. Marketplace, currency, wear, float, pattern, stickers, fees, liquidity and capture time can change a listing. Cadence: review when a prepared snapshot is regenerated. Correction: report the item pair, shown value and a dated marketplace reference; we check the record before changing it.
Professional player profiles and rosters
Source/reference: HLTV World Ranking top 50 roster list dated 24 AUGUST 2026, HLTV player profiles, the CS API player index and Liquipedia role references. The prepared snapshot was captured on 27 AUGUST 2026 and contains 249 active player profiles. Page last reviewed: 03 SEPTEMBER 2026.
Team, country, continent, age and primary role are stored comparison fields. Current team and rank come from that dated top-50 ranking snapshot, so transfers, stand-ins, retirements and role changes can make a record stale. Cadence: review after roster or profile changes; no live refresh. Correction: send the nickname, field, snapshot date and a reliable dated reference.
Player clue scope
The Player game currently compares team, country, age and primary role from the dated profile snapshot. Daily uses the frozen eligible ID pool attached to the current manifest version; Practice keeps the full eligible player snapshot. Page last reviewed: 04 SEPTEMBER 2026.
Only fields backed by the recorded roster and profile references are exposed as clues. A new statistical clue is not added unless its definition, source rows and calculation can be audited per player.
Map visual assets
Source/reference: CSWorth local WebP scene-capture asset set. Each challenge carries a map slug, shot ID, focal point, local asset key and capture label; Daily selects from 14 map records and Practice uses 57 local scene variants. Page last reviewed: 03 SEPTEMBER 2026.
Each clue uses a selected scene variant and focal point, then crops and progressively reveals it. These assets are recognition clues, not complete maps, official callout references, tactical guides or a live asset feed. Cadence: review when a map crop, scene variant or game visual changes. Correction: report the map slug, clue state and suspected mismatch so the asset and crop position can be checked together.
Skin catalog and images
Source/reference: CSWorth curated CS2 skin catalog with locally served visual assets. Every record carries an item ID, weapon, finish, local asset path, popularity tier, asset provenance and reviewedAt metadata. Practice keeps all 100 prepared records; Daily uses the explicit dailyEligible subset of 64 records. Page last reviewed: 03 SEPTEMBER 2026.
The image game matches a submitted answer to a stored item ID and may crop or reveal the image in steps. The pool is not an official or complete Valve inventory database and can omit finishes, variants or newer items. Cadence: review when an item, image or crop is added or corrected. Correction: report the item name, weapon, image and mismatch; the catalog record and local asset are checked together.
Economy rules, equipment costs and authored scenarios
Source/reference: CSWorth-authored MR12 scenario records. Each of the 36 records stores side, scoreline, five-player money split, loss bonus, opponent read, objective, accepted decision, assumptions, answer rationale, rulesVersion and reviewedAt. Page last reviewed: 03 SEPTEMBER 2026.
The 36 scenarios are educational contexts delivered as eight-round runs; they are not live match predictions, win-probability estimates, betting advice or gambling mechanics. Each record carries explicit MR12 assumptions, a rationale, rulesVersion and reviewedAt date. A call is judged against the assumptions shown on the card, and real teams can choose differently. Cadence: review when CS2 economy rules, equipment costs or scenario assumptions change. Correction: report the scenario, rule or cost, and the assumption that appears ambiguous.
How corrections are handled
When a report is confirmed, the relevant record, asset, source note or review date is corrected together. If a source cannot be verified, the item may remain out of the active pool. We do not silently turn a prepared snapshot into a claim of live accuracy.
Please do not send Steam passwords, API keys, session cookies, payment details or inventory credentials. CSWorth does not need them to investigate a game result.
